The toys are hand made by me, I personally buy, wash and disinfect the cloth. I then make each toy with love and care. The full process takes time and I wish to create only the best and the most interesting designs. The toys are made from the left over materials that I may have given to the tailor. Some scraps have been donated by friends. The filling is mostly cotton balls or the same cloth is used to make the toy.
Why not new materials? As you may be aware of the pollution caused by the fashion and toy industry. Most of the children’s toys and clothes land up in land fills around the country. While a lot of us do donate our clothes India is know for its recycling industry. This is our small but a necessary step towards the preservation of the environment children are going to grow up in.
