Hello,
I'm Rukhmini,
a graphic designer and illustrator based in Mumbai, India.
My work spans branding, packaging, illustration and visual communication. I enjoy exploring different styles, techniques
and creative approaches to bring ideas to life.
With over eight years of experience in graphic design, I've worked
on projects for Indian and international brands across a range of industries. My approach combines research, strategy and creativity to develop thoughtful design solutions that are both visually engaging and purposeful.
I believe good design goes beyond aesthetics. It is about understanding the brief, asking the right questions and finding
creative ways to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
One of my most meaningful projects was Masti Clean, a hygiene education initiative that used illustrated kits, storytelling and activity worksheets to make learning engaging for children. This project brought together my interests in design and education and made me curious about how art could be used as a tool for learning.

My experience with Teach For India deepened this interest and led me to explore
arts education more seriously. Since then, I've worked on developing visual arts and social-emotional learning curricula for children and young people from underserved communities. My focus has been on creating learning experiences that encourage
self-expression, curiosity, creative thinking and the exploration of different art forms
and materials.
Alongside my professional work, I run Ruki Tuki, my small handmade brand where I create playful collectables inspired by everyday life. From earrings and magnets to little objects that bring joy, each piece is shaped by hand using air-dry clay, without moulds. Ruki Tuki gives me the freedom to experiment with colours, characters and ideas, and brings together my love for illustration, design and making things by hand.
Across everything I do, I believe art should be accessible,
encourage exploration and bring joy into people's lives.
