While developing an art curriculum for Saturday Art Class (an NGO in Mumbai), the curriculum team explored how to introduce landscapes to children in a way that felt fun and full of imagination. David Hockney's work felt like the perfect fit.
His landscapes don’t just show nature; they celebrate it, finding hidden colours most of us miss! His bold and playful style helped us reimagine how children could see and paint the world around them.
Inspired by his work, I painted the view outside my own window, watching the hills of Sanjay Gandhi National Park light up with sunrise each morning.
