This logo was created for Mumbai’s Aqua Line metro as part of a project with Design Orb, Mumbai. It takes inspiration from the city’s rich cultural fabric and how the metro connects its diverse communities. The meeting of rail corridors and the use of vibrant colours represent the amalgamation of people from various ethnicities. The lines in the design reflect the metro tracks running through the city, uniting its many parts. This symbol was chosen to acknowledge the vital role the metro will continue to play in Mumbai’s future. The logo will be applied across various mediums, from station signage to patches on staff uniforms.
